The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Reebok. Since my minor little melt-down the other day at Crossfit, my coach had suggested that I take a bit of time away from the barbell (what?!), step back from Olympic lifting for a moment (noooo….), and focus on having fun. I can guarantee that if you surveyed any Crossfitter and ask what his or her most-disliked Crossfit movements are, I can guarantee 99% of them will say burpees or thrusters, and probably nearly just as many will quote them both. This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on […]
In a quest to perfect my deadlift form, I have experienced a fair share of bumps and bruises along the way. It has been somewhat nice that the Michigan weather has been a bit chilly and I can hide my pasty, banged up legs underneath pants, but shorts season is inevitable and I am no […]

One of the main points I am taking out of participating in the Crossfit Games Open is that my body has been able to do things I have never thought it could do, and it is making me want to push for things even more than ever. I all of a sudden have this severe […]

I know a lot of my followers are runners, but don’t get too excited about the title of this post. The first workout in the Crossfit Games Open 2013 was cleverly titled 13.1 (I think because of the year 2013, first workout of the games), and did not translate into a half marathon by any means. 😉
