When Crossfit Games Open 14.1 was released, I remember hearing so many negative comments from people who were either unable to, or not very comfortable, doing double-unders and how it wasn’t fair that they programmed these in the workout. Ironically, some of those same people ended up not only getting their first DU last week, […]

If you didn’t hear me mention it in just about every Crossfit Games Open recap post thus far (13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4), participating in a worldwide competition against the fittest athletes in the world has been absolutely one of my favorite experiences thus far in Crossfit. I know a lot of my followers are runners, but don’t get too excited about the title of this post. The first workout in the Crossfit Games Open 2013 was cleverly titled 13.1 (I think because of the year 2013, first workout of the games), and did not translate into a half marathon by any means. 😉

This weekend I was awarded, at my third Crossfit Prom, with the honor of “Resident Crossfit Kool-Aid Kid”, after last year winning the “Transformation Award”, and the year before being recognized for a major PR moment over the year. It was really such an honor because the past year I feel that I have grown […]
Do you remember the first time you watched competitive Crossfit? Or when you first saw a female athlete and thought, “I want to be just like her”? When I started Crossfit, one of my first friends was a little petite thing with the drive and passion that was unmatched to anything I had ever witnessed in […]

I can give any person who is hesitant about signing up for the Crossfit Games Open a million and one reasons why you should. I can recount my own personal experiences or share why competitions are so important. I will tell you that it doesn’t matter what skill level you are, or how long you […]
