Five Things Friday.. End of September Edition

in Me

Confession: Blogging is a lot of work.

I LOVE writing when I have a good topic to talk about. And I have 10 draft posts of ideas that I just have not put any effort in completing (or starting). I have a September Challenge going on that I have been slacking on promoting and encouraging the 100+ people in the group! I have training updates and Crossfit progresses I’d love to talk about. I have a handful of Lady Lifter Spotlights to publish, and so many emails to respond to (I promise I’m not ignoring you). I have a couple product reviews and giveaways to do.. but none of that is going to happen this weekend. And possibly, not until I finish this half-marathon training that is consuming my brain daily..

..and maybe a little bit of this, showing off my CocaBang jeans. Only the second time I’ve been on a pole.. and 110% out of my comfort zone here..

I have seen others do these “Five Things Friday” posts so in an effort to not just be negative on my blog this week (and, btw, want to thank everyone for the super supportive comments on my last post even though it was more of a vent than soliciting advice..), I thought I’d throw some random tidbits.

  1. After an emotionally draining weekend, I shifted my focus from going all out hard on every Crossfit workout to putting emphasis on scaling the workouts back and focusing on my half marathon training. During yesterday’s endurance workout, I was able to let some stress go and I PRed my one-mile time! I immediately told my coach as she read off my time, “I don’t run that fast!!”
Following this were intervals of 800m, 400m, 200m, and 5x40m. I went FAST (for me). Oddly, these short bursts of running left me feeling extremely optimistic about the 9-10 miles I am going to attempt tomorrow morning. one mile pr
  2. Last night as I was gulping down some water after I got home from my workout, my baby sister yells, “Chug! Chug!” In an effort to swallow my water without laughing, something went wrong. I coughed, I choked, and water spewed out of my nose. I have never in my life had water actually come out of my nose and it was the least sexy thing ever. She totally would have videoed it, too, but said she felt kinda bad for causing it.
  3. Speaking of my beautiful sisters, we are making plans to reenact this childhood photo (from probably almost 20 years ago). That’s me as the nun. And this may explain why my youngest sister now has a fear of clowns.halloween costumes
  4. I am experimenting with the Diva Cup again and think there is no turning back now. I tried it one day last month and after a good 7 minute extraction period, put it away for the month. But now, it’s day two and feeling quite successful. Ladies, do it.
  5. I’m obsessed with SnapChat. And if you snap me (winetoweights), I will likely snap back. Often. Car Jamming. To Katy Perry’s “Roar”. Without shame. If you think I’m kidding, try me. Or ask anyone who is on my SnapChat list..

#1 made me smile.

Good thing it was only water because soda and beer burns coming out that way 🙂

I too have a fear of clowns but I am overcoming it.

I love ROAR! And I also love your hair in that top video 🙂

The snap chat videos won’t play for me for some reason :/ no idea what snapchat is either, lol, but I sing in the car ALL THE TIME. Literally whenever I drive somewhere. I usually take Chloe too so I’m sure she has heard enough of me over the years, lol.

Love the pict of you guys as kids! Totally look so much alike!
