I think my favorite part about blogging is getting to discover some awesome new small businesses and help spread the word about their products! SoRock Shop sent me two of their workout tanks to review, and I am absolutely loving them both!

Who is SoRock Shop?

What started in a spare bedroom in 2008 with a single screen printing press, Melaney has grown SoRock Shop into a professional designer of promotional merchandise and fitness apparel. Rooted in Baltimore, the company has a very simple mission statement:

SoRock is a company dedicated to making people look awesome.

How much more simple can you get than that?! 🙂

SoRock Shop Gear

SoRock Shop carries tees, tanks, “WOD socks“, and accessories for the fitness community, with categories for men, women, and children (they ever have a “I’M A LITTLE WODDLER” shirt! Their line right now is primarily focused on women (which, I am not complaining about), and there are many styles to choose from. With saying like, “Meet me at the Bar” (referring to the barbell), “Can’t Ban These Guns” (pointing to your arms), and “Eat Clean, Sweat Dirty”, I had a hard time deciding what ones I wanted for myself! Since I placed my first order, they have even added more fun styles!

While the website does have standard designs, they also offer custom designs: “If you can think it…we can ink it!”

My SoRock Swag

The first shirt I tried on was from their “Can’t Ban These Guns” line. For someone like me who is still working on building her “guns”, I thought this was extremely cute and clever, but also quite expressive and a conversation starter! I first wore this tank at home when I was trying out my new gymnastic rings, and I’m not going to lie – it just made me feel quite strong!   I wore this same shirt later in the week to Crossfit and loved the smirks I was getting for people as I was “showing off.” 😉

This shirt does fit quite loosely by design, so you do want to make sure that you have something supportive underneath, as it can slip a little low in the front, but paired with a fun colored sports bra, you’ll be all set! The material is quite thin, which is great for getting sweaty as it will not leave you suffocating in your own sweat.

The second shirt I love even more!! While I have recently accepted that I will never be an XS ever again, they suggested to order a size up for their tanks, so rather than a Small, I was sent Medium. Me, a medium? Mehhh. However, this shirt fits perfectly!! It is soft and the material is breathable, and I cannot stress enough how comfortable this one is!

SoRockShop Collage

The material on this shirt is “burnout”, which has some holes in it, but not really holes. It is really hard to describe this if you haven’t seen it before. It is somewhat of sheer spots on the shirt, but it is not see-through..

SoRock Shop Train Insane

Overall, I have been extremely pleased with this experience working with SoRock Shop! I am loving my new tanks and hope no one starts talking about me for wearing them over and over to class.. At $25 apiece, the tanks are a little on the pricey side, but keep in mind that you are supporting a small business and a great company.

Since I had such a great experience with these, Melaney has been awesome enough to let one of my readers rock her gear as well! Check back tomorrow for my blogiversary super prize post and a chance to win your own tank!

Do you like wearing fun fitness gear or stick to the basics?

Super cute! That ‘burnout’ pattern reminds me of an animal print (sort of). Love the green shirt “fast girls have more fun” 🙂
